Thousand Oaks – Major Injury Traffic Collision

On February 27, 2023, three juveniles were traveling on an off-road electric motorcycle northbound in the southbound bicycle lane of Via Las Brisas, approaching the intersection of Via Grande.  The second vehicle involved, a Sport Utility Vehicle, was turning right onto Via Grande from southbound Via Las Brisas. The academy is a 12-week course designed to give citizens an overview of the police department’s function and operational procedures. Thousand Oaks – Suspects Arrested for Felony Battery for the Benefit of a Street Gang

Ventura County – Sheriff Jim Fryhoff Releases 2022 Crime Statistics

Sheriff Jim Fryhoff has released the 2022 crime statistics for all areas served by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. Thousand Oaks – Felon Arrested in Connection with Ammunition

During the month of February 2023, Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) detectives began an investigation into Richard English related to illegal firearms and ammunition.  Detectives learned English is a convicted felon with a criminal history that prohibits him from owning and or possessing any firearms and ammunition.  During the investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for English and his live-in motorhome.  Please click the following link for further details:  https://local.nixle.com/alert/9935997/

Ventura County – Arrest of suspect for multiple trailer thefts

On 12/24/2022, a suspect in a dark colored Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) stole a covered trailer from a victim in the 500-block of Montgomery Avenue in the unincorporated area of Oxnard, California.  Through the collection of surveillance videos, detectives learned the SUV had distinctive markings which appeared to have been hand-painted onto it. Thousand Oaks – Man Arrested in Connection with Death of a Family Member

On February 17, 2023, at approximately 1:12 AM, Thousand Oaks Patrol responded to the 100 Block of Sandra Court, Newbury Park, for an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call.  When patrol deputies arrived, they contacted Brennan Post and other family members who reside in the residence.  During the initial contact, patrol deputies learned Brennan had shot his sister, Cassidy Snow.  Shortly after, medical personnel arrived on scene and pronounced Cassidy deceased. Brennan was arrested at the scene.
