Fillmore – Sex Registrant Compliance Sweep

On Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, Sheriff’s detectives conducted compliance checks at the residences of forty-one (41) registered sex offenders throughout the City of Fillmore and the surrounding unincorporated areas. Moorpark – Four Arrests Made of South American Theft Group

Ventura County – Firearm Investigation Results in Vehicle Pursuit and Arrest of Barricaded Suspect

On October 12, 2022, Sheriff’s Gang Unit (SGU) and Ventura Police Department personnel arrested John Picarelli for multiple felony violations.  Picarelli led police on a vehicle pursuit in the Ventura and Santa Paula areas, he broke into a Ventura residence and barricaded before surrendering, and was found to be unlawfully in possession of multiple firearms.  For further information, please click the following link:  https://local.nixle.com/alert/9707377

Ventura County – Suspect Arrested for Prescription Fraud, Identity Theft and Burglary

On October 13th, 2022, a combined team of detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Moorpark Investigations Bureau, Pharmaceutical Crimes Unit, and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration served a search warrant in the 600 Block of N.
