Ventura County – Headquarters Patrol Station Hosts ~ “Coffee with the Badges” in support of the First Responders for Mental Health Awareness Initiative

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters Patrol Station proudly announces a “Coffee with the Badges” event in support of the First Responders for Mental Health Awareness Initiative. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As First Responders, we will come together to promote awareness about the mental health issues affecting millions of people in the United States.

On Tuesday, May 23rd, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, Headquarters Patrol Station personnel will be at Honey Cup Coffee and Creamery, located at 3500 Harbor Blvd, Suite #105 in the Channel Islands Harbor, sharing a cup of coffee with our neighbors. The Headquarters Patrol Station is based at the Ventura County Government Center in the City of Ventura and services the communities in the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, including Saticoy, El Rio, Nyeland Acres, Silver Strand Beach, Hollywood Beach, La Conchita, and the Rincon Parkway. Communication and community trust are key elements to the success of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. By sitting down and having a simple conversation with members of the community we serve, we can develop and build meaningful relationships.

We invite the community to come out and ask questions, voice concerns, obtain crime prevention advice, and get to know the deputies in your neighborhood. This is a relaxed, informal event intended for casual conversations. The goal of “Coffee with the Badges” is to engage our community, discuss concerns, and raise awareness for mental health.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is committed to increasing and strengthening community partnerships and utilizing technologies and evidence-based practices to enhance collaborative efforts at reducing crime and improving public safety of all residents by continued community partnerships.
