Sheriff dispatchers answer, assess, and refer 9-1-1 calls, and business calls that come into the Sheriff’s Office. They are responsible for dispatching and coordinating patrol response to calls for service and at times, responsible for up to 70 patrol deputies in the field.  Dispatchers are among the first responders to emergency incidents and are expected to remain calm, professional, and proficient at all times. Tami’s colleagues can attest that she promotes all of the above attributes while working her shift. She is a very reliable employee who is always willing to go above and beyond.
Congratulations to Tami Dance for being selected as the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s 2022 Dispatcher of the Year.
