On January 26th 2019, at about 3:25 PM, Camarillo Police patrol deputies responded to a call of a possible assault and attempted robbery, which occurred in the area of Calleguas Creek Bike Path, between Adolfo Road and Mission Oaks Boulevard. A K9 Unit and a Sheriff’s Office helicopter also responded to search for the suspect. During the initial investigation, deputies spoke with a female victim whom reported she had been battered by an unknown male subject while she was walking along the east side of the Calleguas Creek Bike Path, between Adolfo Road and Mission Oaks Boulevard. The female victim defended herself and within a few moments the unknown male suspect ran away from the scene southbound along the bike path, towards Mission Oaks Boulevard. The female victim sustained minor scrapes as a result of the battery. The suspect was wearing a brown t-shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black back-pack. It’s possible the suspect also has injuries on his face, possible scratch marks or bruises.
